What you say about magick as devotional, rather than pure results-based, is really important and powerful, and I hadn't thought of it in this way before. What you're saying basically explains this quote perfectly:

"For pure will, unassuaged of purpose, delivered from the lust of result, is every way perfect."

If you do your invocations, then walk around incessantly looking for signs of it working and the results manifesting, I imagine one'd become paranoid and dejected pretty quickly. There is joy in the journey, after all, not only in the goal. The point is, as you said, to grow as a person. Always appreciate your videos, you give good food for thought.

With the speaking inside your head, it got me thinking about a phenomenon called 'autonomous voice communication' (something I experienced on my first psilocybin trip). It's that you hear in your head that's outside your consciousness (or ego) but it has a similar intelligence to your own. Now, if it starts to say things that's outside your scope, that's a good sign that it's 'something else'.

im so curious if channeling reiki would be considered as a type of invocation. we do typically invoke spirit guides, archangels, deities, etc. in our healing intentions but technically thats not required and is left to the healer’s discretion. as reiki is divine/universal energy i guess it’s considered as invocation, but it isnt associated to specific faces of the divine.

for beginners I would not recommend attempting to trap or bind the spirit you are working with, they don't like that lol

I find the same invocation works well for me where as evocation has been next to impossible for me
I use the method of calling on all the names of ishta for example but i typically stick with the male god spirits

Could you please consider demonstrating how you can do an LBRP? There are a lot of demonstrations online, however, everyone has their own slightly different way of doing it, and tend to be really long. Is there a shortened version, but is still effective?

I 've only participated in High Magick rituals maybe 3- 4 times max. Though I'm not to overly fond of it. I'm more a folk practicioner when I do practice. Though I will not deny the potency of Ritual and High magick.
