These slightly older, 2006 Acura TL's are excellent vehicles to own and to drive.

These are great cars. If you want a first car that's luxurious and is like BMW 3 series this should be at the top of your list.

i just bought one of these up on saturday, got it serviced and for $9000 total i have a perfectly running, early 2000s sports luxury sedan as my first car (the tl) and i must say, it’s a very smooth car and i love it. can’t wait for many happy years with my first car

I bought a 2006 TL in 2006. I drove her for 168K trouble free miles. I miss my TL. These cars are built to last. Good power. Great looking car to this day. Mine was a 6 speed manual. Rare and tons of fun. Great HID headlights. I highly suggest you pick one up for your kids first car.

Solid car, great handling, great speed with the premium gas. Definitely make sure the premium fuel is used, there is a noticeable difference in take-off speed.

In 2008, I bought a used ‘05 TL. Loved it but as time went on, I wanted the refreshed model that came out in ‘07. In 2010, I sold the ‘05 and bought an ‘07. To this day, it was one of my favorite cars ever. Currently have ‘21 Accord Touring 2.0T. Love it too. I will always remember my TLs fondly though.

Bought a 08 base in Pearl white again with 49, 000 miles . Couldn’t find myself to get away from this car, sold my 06 5 years back. This car aged very well .

Excellent car from Acura 👍👍 this TL is one of their best vehicles ever, and I can see why it sold over 70, 000 units in 2005.

258 HP back then was perfect~ most sports sedans made around 220 HP in 2006 so the TL was very ahead of its time in terms of powet

I love these cars. My dad owns an 04 tl and my mom has an 04 accord v6 sedan. I have an 06 tsx and acuras of these years were of quality.

Hey man, love your reviews. Concise and to the point. Just curious, what are your thoughts on how this TL's 3.2 V6 compares to the 2006 Infiniti FX35's V6? How do the two cars compare overall in terms of driving experience? Thanks!

I had so many good memories with my 2005 TL before it got T boned. The third generation TL was a gem for sure,

The sound of the engine at full trottle is beautiful. Then be ready to see the gas gauge move.

If you have the pre 07 5 speed auto contact the dealership. The technicians will know about the jetpack. It takes fluid from the outlet side of the external trans filter and is plumbed into the trans fill location. It's a special fitting with a hose nipple that allows you to put that needed trans fluid to the area where normally the gear was starved. In 07 that was done internally. It's about 100 us dollars. If you ask the parts clerk they might not know about it but the technicians sure will.

there’s a trunk lock switch in the passenger glove box that deactivates the trunk button, i used my key fob for a while before figuring it out
