1st Lieutenant Jacob H. (Hank) Goldman served in the United States Army Air Force as a Navigator Bombardier on B-25 Bombers in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. 1st Lt. Goldman was assigned to the 499th Bomb Squadron, 345th Bomb Group, of the 5th Air Force. In this clip, he recalls living in a tent while stationed on Clark Field in the Philippines. During his time there, he traded a bottle of Scotch for a truckload of Philippine mahogany and built a floor and furniture for his squad tent. He goes on to discuss improvising in order to improve living conditions.
