This video covers my personal tips for cracking the Machine Coding Round in the Web Developer Interview. I’ll be sharing my personal tips for managing time, technical topics and many other approaches which you should follow to clear this super easy round in your next frontend Interview.

Companies including Microsoft, Flipkart, Swiggy and many others take this as the first round for the Web Developers where you’ll be given a problem statement and they expect you to come up with working code in a limited time window (around 1-2 hours). Also, they expect you to code your solution in pure vanilla Javascript.

By just keeping a few things in mind and preparing yourself mentally for this round can help you crack this machine coding round in UI Interview with ease. This is the second video in the Cracking the Frontend Interview series and in the next video I’ll be coming up with the most frequent questions asked in the Machine Coding Round.

Major things which interviewers check with this Machine Coding Round are :

- Can you code from Scratch?
- Are you good at basics of Javascript?
- Is your code modular?
- Is your code scalable?
- Is your code readable?
- Is your approach right?
- How do you manage time?
- How well can you Google?
- Do you know what’s happening behind the scenes?

Preparing in the correct way for this round of JS Interview can make it very easy for you to crack.

Also, watch these related videos which can be just like the Cherry on the Cake. Preparing and using these concepts in your solution can really impress the interviewers :

Can you do a live stream for a machine coding problem, take one of the many problems asked and just do a 2-hour live stream as you would go along solving it. It would be really helpful for us.

Hi #Akshay just one point I would like to add in it, (Correct me, if I am Wrong) that take the trickiest part in the end, since if you take the Trickiest part / feature of the application in the 1st and then end up just exhausting your mind sooo much that, this feature may or may not get completed but you may end up exhausting your mind so much that you are not able to implement even the simple if such things happen, you will end up stressing your self unnecessarily, also once up finish up with small small comparatively easy features, then it will make you at-least happy, and you will be able to concentrate on the Trickiest part with more confidence and clarity, this thing happened with me in one interview, and after wards I got to know that only I among the 28 people was able to develop that feature, others just have tried and left it incomplete ., It boosted my Confidence like any thing. And Thank you very much #Akshay you really really bring up very very useful things for us, great to have you as a mentor. Thank you #Akshay

Hi Akshay, High hopes on this series.
You could probably do a video where you can present a question that you faced in machine coding round and how you coded, while actually coding it in the video explaining what kind of patterns/architecture you chose etc.

Hi #Akshay, it's a much useful video.
I believe the below would be helpful somewhere in this round.

Sample models (Ex: vehicle specs, animals family, employee details, etc.)
Variable names

These will be helpful to build an imaginary architecture instantly.

Can you create another video as an extension to this video where you solve the question which you faced? How you approached the question? What you have done differently if given more time etc.

Thank you so much for such a lovely content and your hard work.
Along with preparing for front end interviews, I’m also preparing for backend interviews so I feel more comfortable coding in Java. Will that not be a good impression if it’s a front end position ?
Thank you!
