My primary play this year is the O5MR (Opening 5-Minute Range). Look for >1% gapper that pops and drops in the first 15-minutes. Mark the levels of the first 5-min candle, along with key areas from previous day and/or longer term. One of my rules is that I can't enter until at least 10:06am. A lot of times it'll be a little later (say, 10:15-10:30ish; "The Golden Dip Buying Time", although I'm looking specifically for an undercut/rally or bounce off support) but this allows the charts to set levels for the day and allows me to not get caught up in opening nonsense. Can really give great R/R. I miss swing trading, but just this one day-play has kept me profitable this year (and it's similar to how I enter some swing trades). When trading large caps that are heavily influenced by /ES futures you see the strong moves after 10:30 to 11:00 due to the fact the auction might be breaking out of initial balance high/low. If it stays outside IBH/IBL it indicates large parties actively involved past the hour mark and could be the start of a trend day

I tried this today on 6-30-2022. Main stocks I watched all down at the opening. Would you believe it around 1030am they started to come out of there lows. Mara and Riot, PLTR, SOFI. If you don't believe me go look at the charts. I did not make much since I have been trading very small size to boost my confidence but got my first winner in a while thanks for this.

Buy the Dip!!! I have just started trading in April 2022 and I learned this little nugget on my own last week when I noticed the bounce occurs around 10:15 - 10:30 to 11:00am in addition to indicators. It has helped me to be more profitable, thanks for sharing
