I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys R Us kid, they got a million toys at Toys R Us that I can play with... 🤣 Memories!!! This is great. I still have the huge banners and signs I picked up when my local Toys R Us shut down. You are right though, shopping online is definitely not the same as being in the store. I miss going into the parking lot and seeing the sign lit up and the colored slats lining the front of the store. Awesome video!

My childhood is being relived… the last time i ever went into a toys r us was in the American Dream mall in 2021. I remember always going for Fungus Amongus, Grossery Gang, stickers and cars. If the states still had toys r us id be going there day after day if i was still 8.

These stores are so cool because they look like they haven’t been updated in forever, they still have all the really old fixtures and stuff, awsome looking store! (They do seem a little expensive on abunch of stuff tho, even when converted to US currency, so it’s Awsome they have price match)

I hate that leveraged buyouts lead to great stores closing in the US. That happened to Toys R Us, and that more recently happened to the 99 Cent Stores. From what I saw it looks like the same is happening to Big Lots soon as well.
Toy manufacturers said Toys R Us still were profitable for them, and Toys R Us going under hurt their bottom lines. But there was no one to swoop in and buy Toys R Us or try to start the same thing from scratch. I DO love that it seems like ever since Toys R Us closed, a lot of collectable stores have opened up in my area, selling tons of action figures. Feels like they're somewhat making up for the void left by it.
Also, those shirts. We never had those. Some pretty good ones there.

In Canada we used to have Target too, but they removed it and now they’re only in the US. We kinda had the opposite affect of you guys losing Toys r Us

Sad that there are not a lot of people shopping in this store. I remember shopping at Toys R Us for my kid, around 20 years ago, and they were always packed with people, especially around holidays.

I miss Toys R Us. The ones in the Macy's stores don't even come close. By the way, I always wanted the giant ninja turtles figures. Heck I even miss Kaybee Toys and Childrens palace.
