I just use cotton balls the pods take around 3 cotton balls top one just poke hole for your seed then cover with tinfoil for replacement for the sticker to prevent algae

If just cloning a plant don't even need no plugs just use tin foil for top of pod and poke you stem thru middle

I use my Areo garden for mostly growing and cloning plants that are easy to clone like basil so this works great 👍

If you want avoid the cotton ball method all together just start your seeds in sand till they get big enough to use the tin foil method 👍

Sand makes really easy to get seedlings out with out damaging roots

Thats cool and all, but how do you keep them from falling in.  The original pods have a plastic holder to keep the "dirt" in place and not fall into the unit.  I do not see how these would not fall in unless you put something in to hold them in place.

Do you still add the nutrients to the water, or is there enough contained in the pods?

You got me excited but the reviews on these, especially for Aerogarden application, are terrible. Nonstandard sized, and too short to catch the spray in an aerogarden so you have to overfill it. I was going to pick these up on your recommendation but am glad I read the reviews first.

Thanks for the info, I just got a nwe/used aerogarden pro 100 system but does not have any accessories nor seeds to start using it, the Flora Root Plugs sounds like a Great idea, but what kind of seed do you used with it?? do you still have to buy aerogarden seeds? Thanks and I will be checking for answers.
