VOR Holding Pattern Tutorial with Airline Pilot / Flight Instructor in Microsoft Flight Simulator

This is a tutorial on how to fly a holding pattern based around a VOR in Microsoft Flight Simulator FS2020.

This shows you how to fly a hold in zero wind, and with headwind, tailwind and crosswinds on the outbound leg. You will learn how to adjust the hold for these different wind situations.

I will be making a part 2 showing how to enter holds from various directions with more complex wind situations.

Thanks, I really like how you manage to simplify things and make them easy to understand. Can I ask a question? If I am using a G1000, I won't see the TO-FROM flag switch, so how do I know I reached the fix and can start my turn?
