Light bulb moment!!! Oh my goodness! I am writing (probably) an episodic series. Who knew? I’ve been thinking that my story is a stand alone (my first novel attempt too) with an amazing twist at the end. But I think that twist is so big, like in your estate analogy, that it can easily move into an ongoing series from there. Lots to think about and thanks so much for the breakdown.
