Great video. Very informative. I have the pro version of your laser and just ordered the rotary tool for it. Will practice on some old metal bottles. Thanks!

The ring was really cool!
Any idea on whether the shininess of the material makes a difference?

And how would you go about etching on a silver-colored stainless steel ring? I’m assuming it won’t etch in the same way as the matte black ring shown in the video

How do you ensure that the laser head doesn't hit the jaws of the chuck or the rotary while engraving or after engraving?
I'm just trying to prevent a possible collision before attempting to engrave using the rotary pro.

Hello, your video is really great! 😊 how do you center round objects (e.g. that ring)? Since I have the same setup as you, I am struggling with positioning of the object. I cannot figure it out. any tips what I should do/ don't do? 😊I have specific space on the round object that I have to engrave it

Hi have you ever used the rotary offline with the TF card starting from current position, I have and can't seem to get it to frame in the correct position and as a result can't do the engrave. The offline function works fine with absolute position but it is very difficult to use that function when using the rotary as you can't home the rotary. The reason I ask is because the other day I did a long engrave (1.5hrs) and about 1 hr in Lightburn on my pc closed for some reason (that's another story, but it didn't go to sleep) as a result the engrave stopped 70% of the way through and stopped, obviously it couldn't recover, using the offline facility would prevent this from happening. Any ideas? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

se necesita cambiar el valor en el programa lightburn $101 ? o que puedo hacer para que no se distorsionen las imagenes o grabados?

For tapered objects, wouldn't it had been easier for them to have an adjustable leg at the far end to raise and lower the rotary instead of putting a shim object there?? That's what i done and it works great.

how you able to not get images distorted when printing on surface. On my test i'm getting distorted image i.e. 40x40mm imagine yet on surface X axis no issue on height yet width on Y axis it can be as much at 70mm wide..

Hi, I am using a pro kit and recently had a project to engrave a Yeti 40 oz tumbler with a handle, the handle is not removable. Understanding that I would not be able to do a full rotation due to the handle I designed the artwork for only a small portion of the tumbler. To engrave on the side of the tumbler the handle needed to be located at an angle out to the side at some point either side of horizontal, this presented an issue where gravity took over and the handle always wanted to drop to the bottom not allowing me to position the tumbler in the correct position for the engrave. Have you experienced a similar issue when using the Rotary chuck attachement. I also have a set of Creality rotary rollers which I did the project on, the stiction in the drive mechanism prevented gravity taking over.

how high from the objects in the rotary for the laser height what is used to measure that distance ?

You have one chance to have the perfect settings. You cannot go over same cut path twice. The second cut will not be in the same position. Also it seems to lose its position during cuts and will ruin your project.

Would have been a better video if you showed where are the plugs go and if you laser engraved a tumbler..

This rotary kit is not good. Super quirky with inconsistent results. You end up wasting a lot of bottles
