I know we've talked (via email) about having some tutorials for Epic. Thank you for getting this process going! Much appreciated. Looking forward to more of them!

Very good video. I should have watched this one before watching the other one which I more or less like. You go straight to the point and that's really good,

I would really like this video to have subtitles, it would make learning a lot easier, since YouTube translates automatically, Captain chord is an incredible tool, it deserves attention!! long live the devs...

I have scaler 2 but I’m getting this! I think it’s great that you’re working on the features current users are talking about while adding new ones. I love the rhythmic features in it over scaler. Love the videos, please keep ‘em coming…often 🎶❤️

I wrote 9 months ago concerning the list of chords (or at least the availability to switch between the new "descriptive chord navigation" and a simple list of chords by generic roman numerals.

This is what it says in the response: "1. Yes, I agree. I think we can bring back the list of chords - but with a better user interface. It's on our todo list and I'm planning to get that done.". I'm sure it got lost on the to-do list, but hopefully not forgotten, right? I still can't use the Epic versions due to this one feature (I can navigate for 15 minutes and fail to quickly stumble on what I can use - versus a simple generic vi-V-ii-I-iii or something, that follows my music composing ear. If the crafty rhythms could somehow magically dovetail perfectly with a certain set of chords, that would be a first of its kind. I'm not sure its possible. The conventional ways (such as by feel your sound, Tracktion waveform, Cubase, Studio One) is more to isolate the rhythm, or keep the melody and harmony calculated separately. But when "chords" are defined with the main chord tones but also with passing tones, often choosing a chord progression will conflict with a rhythm. Having a generic list of progressions with mainly chord tones prevents the conflicts, or if choosing a chord with extensions one can see where it is in the chord progression (i.e. 3rd of 4 chords) and go right in and fix the disharmonious extension, improve its voice leading, etc. I'm saying all this in context of auditioning. I do realize that if one has something committed it is easy to invest in fixing it - but that's not the point of auditioning.

Will you add a value readout to the velocity settings? I like to have more control over my velocity settings by looking at numbers. Thx

when are you gonna add the sections back that the original captain plugins had across the top of the screens?

I bought Captain "suite" yesterday and can say this is quite a piece of innovative music creation software! Learning curve is easy for a newbie like me thanks to a very intuitive interface. Andy, your tutorial is outstanding, very clear, thank you! Just one question: I have not been able to see how it is possible to cut or divide/slice a chord (just one, not the whole progression) in smaller pieces. How to do this please? I will of course watch all your other tuto's, perhaps I'll find there.

SOLD (upgrade- I was holding-off) “Epic” is well deserved. Now it seems to be a really truely useful (in every track/ permanent template addition) plugin. BTW this video should have been put-out day one of the release. Looking forward to more videos. I would like to see how people are using this in conjunction with Scaler 2.5 (which everyone has or needs to get). I can see them working well together.
