open the two little side zips on the head and tail on the inside. Make sure that the little platic button is all the way out on both sides.

It would have been nice to have an assembly video so we could see why the crib, that doesn't actually fit on the stand properly, fits on the stand

This is a badly made piece of kit. It’s so stiff and not user friendly I’m returning mine today. It looks great but creaks so much and pressing the release button takes two hands.
