Sector 1 (SRX) 8-bit - Metroid Fusion

After the announcement of Metroid Dread, I wanted to cover something from Metroid Fusion! It's one of my favourite Metroid games and the Sector 1 theme is especially cool. It does a really good job of making the player feel like they're investigating unusual activities. Enjoy!

I’ll never forget how well this song paints that first picture of this game. The sense of peril as Samus’s health deteriorates to the realization that she may be too sick bring back. This is a great cover.

This inspired me to go back and listen to the Metroid fusion soundtrack again. I didn't realize how amazing it is. It has so much dissonance that just WORKS. A lot of time a drone bass will establish a single note and chords will change on top of it and create this awesome otherworldly, disgusting dissonance and I love every minute of it. Also nice cover as always my man ✌️

This was my favorite of the Metroid games. It set the mood really well. 12 year old me was terrified of the SA-X. That scene just after going down an elevator. Where it stares into your soul? I'll never forget that.

Hell yes! I loved Fusion for many reasons and its soundtrack was one of them. This is my favorite theme from that game, it felt new and awesome the first time I played it, but the song still felt like a Metroid song. You captured this one perfectly!

its funny because the announcement of metroid dread made me want to play the rest of the metroid games (i've only played super metroid) so I started playing fusion a couple of days ago and holy crap its so good
