Present video is beneficial for B.Ed Fourth Year Students who are majoring in English Language.The lecture is based on 'Literature for language development ' unit:-3 Exploring language through Literary Text:"The Face of Hunger"by Oswald Mbuyiseni Mtshali (1940-)Famous South African poet .
 This poem exhibits the pathetic condition of African people, who have suffered from the problems of poverty, hunger and starvation.
 In the poem, Oswald observes very miserable condition of a child is depicted.
 The child is suffering from hunger and malnutrition, his rib can be counted, and his skin was pale and looked like doctor’s glove, so thin and skinny.
 His stomach was like a den of lion roaring day and night.
 Because of the hunger, his tongue like of a chameleon (a lizard like reptile).
 The poem observes severely hungry child and depicts a clear picture of food deprivation in the world.
