These items are FANTASTIC! - New Scourge Uniques

Zizaran gives his first impressions on a couple newly revealed unique items coming in Path of Exile 3.16 Scourge League.
Both The Squire and Gravebind seem to be among the most powerful items Path of Exile has ever seen.

I love this approach from GGG. Just dump a bunch of really powerfull items into the league, and then nerf them after the league is over if needed.

0 Unique Elegant Round Shields currently, so theoretically you could get a trash to treasure with a Shaper-influnced base, roll a Nemesis map and get a Shaper influenced version of this new unique shield, then get your hands on an Eternity Shroud to really stack up your chaos dmg per shaper item equipped with a 12-Link Elemental Shaper Wand :P Should be pretty cool usage and a lot of fun!

Honestly it feels like a lot of the uniques this league are new kind of "chase" uniques, but thats highly dependent on their rarity / drop frequency. Having more uniques that are headhunter tier amazing (without trying to surpass or be on par with it) is actually a fantastic thing.

Mjolnir was my first thought when looking at that shield. It's typically limited by the trigger socketed, but with this you can trigger a 6link lightning skill for free every .16 seconds.
It could also make for an interesting Poet's Pen build, as those have the same issue. Now you can sling a 6link ED in an ED+Cont build for much less mana cost than what Spellslinger allows, while still using Spellslinger for the Cont cast.

A couple leagues ago I did a Speaker's Wreath minion build with spiders, crabs, zombies, and wolves. Grabbed a +1 spectre chest, slammed a crusader exalt and got % life on kill, which was a brick at first because I was dumb and forgot to close off the last prefix cuz I wanted +1 to socketed gems. Got boots with endurance charge on kill, amulet with +1 int gems and frenzy charge on kill, shared charges, and was an unstoppable god.

With these gloves, you can take that to the next level because you no longer need to worry about having a source of poison for your minions. Add that shield to the Spider Dagger, and you got the nastiest and you got a disgusting build that would feel beyond dirty to play.

Ziz - maybe you can scourge the unique that adds life per armour/evas. on the item or something like that. Maybe the new system will solve for the issue. Agree about the Squire - it's going to be nuts! I am going to be hunting for that!

add on top that you can scourge it and the main-hand with some affixes that could turn a 6L into a 10L or something

The gloves will allow things like, Profane bloom proccing off minions also.

The way I read he mod on Gravebind sounds to me like the killed enemies have to be near *you*, the owner of the gloves, to be counted as your kills. So party play might be a bit difficult if you fail to stay as a group, whereas I think a minion build could benefit from this. Of course, we've no idea what "nearby" means on this item, so...

Whats also busted on the shield is the +2 levels of awakened support gems

For the Gravebind gloves, do you think it'd be possible to do something wonky like Cast on melee Kill + General's Cry. I know it'd likely be terrible, but then General's Cry melee kills could also trigger the support spell?

The only question i have with Gravebind is ... how does it effect magic find? if someone has this on with no magic find does it replace all the magic find i might have on ?

Hope theres a league starter where you can start with cyclone to get Mjolner+Squire on the uber late game, looks so much fun
