I’m glad someone put this into words. It’s never the dislike of Biden or Kamala that baffles me. It’s the blind devotion to Trump I can’t wrap my head around. Like if you’re on the fence of who to vote for I can understand you might lean either way. But the blind devotion “can do no wrong” attitude people have for Trump is insane. The amount of people that let him get away with things they’ve just criticized someone else for is so obvious I just don’t get how so many people don’t see it.

The reason his followers have sunk to cult levels, is because he has made indecency acceptable, *he has freed them from the constraints of decency* .

He has liberated them from having to be moral, from having to demonstrate empathy,   of having to be just to everyone.  He has shown them that ignorance is as powerful as knowledge, so he has freed them from having to seek it.
