Eviction Moratorium - Fair Or Unfair

Alameda County and San Francisco both extended the COVID related evictions moratorium. That is over two and a half YEARS that landlords have potentially gone without getting paid rent. Is that fair? What would be fair? In todays show, I want to hear back from you on what you think! I offer what I think makes sense, but that does not mean it is the only solution out there. Didn't the Federal Gov do just that, i.e., allocate 100s of billions of dollars of rental assistance so renters can use that grant to pay the rent? The banks also did what you suggested, i.e., a 1 year moratorium on mortgage payment. I know many friends who stopped paying because they lost their jobs. Landlords had the option to do the same thing.
