On a BINSPIRE machine from BAIER, KURZ realizes individualization via IMD UNIFY and the integration of touch sensors via Functional Foil Bonding (FFB) in a combined process. This is how we create perfect quality surface decoration for high volumes.
In IMD (In-Mold Decoration) technology, molding and hot stamping are combined in a single work step. In this process, the plastic parts are already completely decorated during the molding process, eliminating the need for additional work steps. Functional Foil Bonding (FFB) also combines surface design and sensor functionality on a single component; functional elements can be seamlessly integrated into the decoration and also into three-dimensional part geometries.
