The reason why everyone still asks about the solo is because it touches something deep in your soul. The fact that Scotti took the time to make a video showing note for note how to play it says a lot about his soul. Thanks Scotti.

This was my stepfather's favorite guitar solo, he introduced me to metal music. R.I.P Jonathan O'Neill 1975-2020

When I clicked, I didn't realize it was ACTUALLY SCOTTI HILL HIMSELF teaching the solo!

Probably my favorite solo ever.
Not one unneeded note, pure raw emotion.

Easily one of the best solos from the 80's.

Scotti Hill is an EXTREMELY underated and unacknowledged guitarist!!! the first time I heard the solo break on I Remember You it made me cry like a baby!!😢 I could feel/hear the passion he put it to the riff he was playing .. I've loved this song for 30 years now and I still get emotional whenever I hear it

I just think it’s so cool to see that guitar all these years later.

Wish Scotti did more videos. He's got killer chops, just a ton of wisdom and he's a Rock Star. The stories he could tell.

Thanks Scott! To this day, this song reminds me of a girl I saw (I was a teenager when this came out.) She was in another state, I was on vacation. She was amazing. Never had a chance to date her but I did write her a letter and gave it to her. This song came on the radio as I was leaving. Still think of her. It's been YEARS.

My friend, you wrote a timeless masterpiece here, of course, people will be asking about it for eternity! Thank you so much for sharing this video with us all! I'm sure many people would agree, I hope you share more of your teachings with us all. Your music has molded millions of people's lives and etched a place deep within our hearts and souls, thank you for that!

You and Snake are criminally under rated as players but even more as a team! Songwriting, rifts and over all kick ass Rock n roll! I met you all in the early 90’s, even met Doc! Bach actually pulled me up on stage after I fell crowd surfing and security was trying to drag me out! All in Vegas. You went into Monkey Business while I was on stage and when the cowbell kicked in I jumped into the crowd! It was epic! I still have a huge Skid Row collection! You guys will always be my favorites!

I was born in 1996. You had already created this guitar solo even before I was born, and now I'm learning it on the guitar. This song really hits me hard. I'm so lucky that you didn’t hesitate to share it with us. Your guitar solo will forever leave a mark in the hearts of every musician and will never be forgotten.Thank you, Scotti. 👍👍👍"

I am 62. I've been playing since I was 14. I have many many favorite solos over the years but this always stood out to me as fitting the song PERFECTLY. Absolute gem of a solo! My older brothers name is Scott Hill. Never touched an axe in his life! LOL

Even as a drummer, I remember his and Dave's solos were so melodic, rather than just blasting through scales at warp speed. They wrote musical pieces for the song, and therein lies the importance and significance of true song writing. These guys did a superb job of doing that, and having musicians remembering them 30 yrs later, is a testament to that fact. Thanks for the great music Mr. Hill. You're a world class musician.👍

I remember watching the video as a young teenager, I finally got a recording of it from MTV by patiently waiting with my VCR on pause / record. I remember watching the part where he bridges with his picking hand for the pull offs over and over and over. I was just so blown away by that. Still such a beautiful song, and great solo. I practiced this solo over and over with the Tab Book from the music store until I could play it. Fast forward a few years and during Skid Row's 2nd album I was lucky enough to see them at a small venue with Pantera in Sacramento, CA. Skid Row was one of the few bands that sounded as good (if not better) Live. Fast forward to 2025, I'm 50 years old and I just played the acoustic guitar part of this song this morning. This is just one of those ones that Sticks with you, oh and Quicksand Jesus... The thing I loved so much about the Solo's in almost every Skid Row song, was they just made so much sense, they never felt like they were the time for the Guitarist to Show Off, they just complimented and completed the songs.
