Today we take a look at a 1980's style AM FM headphone radio. This radio has a retro 80's look that will take you back to the days of big hair bands and mix tapes. Enjoy!

i picked one of these up today at the Goodwill for $3. I've looked for a transistor radio for years to add to my arsenal of ways to listen to the Cincinnati Reds games. Don't have a battery as yet - hoping it works. Baseball and radio go hand in hand. Thanks for the video.

That’s MY old radio ❗️
Had one back in the early 1980’s. Hitchhiked all across the country for about 5 years with it.
Built like a TANK ❗️
Mine was dunked in rivers, run over by a truck, took a lot of abuse. Very durable.
After 2 hurricanes, I decided to get another one. Takes a 9volt.
All other batteries were sold out, but stores had tons of 9volts.
Not a DXer, but is adequate.
At the time these were made, radios that would take headphones, as opposed to an earphone was pretty unusual.
These can still be found ( NOS ) for reasonable prices.
Mine was New Old Stock, original packaging, with headphones and paperwork.
I bought my original in 1982.

Rocking Review! I was surprised how thick that baby is. We must be connected somehow :) I just published a GE Headset radio yesterday! For a date code check the inside back of the battery door, mine had a date code of 1467 stamped in the plastic, the second digit is the year "4", my radio was most likely made in 1984.

Unable to locate the "B" desinater but the "7-1150" version came out in 1984, sold for $14.99 with headset at KMART. Nice radio, I like GE's from the 70's~mid 80's. Jack, VEG

Neat GE. I have no idea the year of manufacture. My guess would be late 80's

I have a GE pocket radio sort of like that one....mine works OK but I don't use it much as I prefer my Sony pocket radio.
