I just bought a 2022 gravley pro stance 60"
I wanted to demo the scag and the ferris and exmark bit I live in NH and we still can't get anything here no matter what you go to buy it's on back order I called every scag dealer in NH just last week 7-5-22 and there wasn't one to be had the earliest shipment was coming in Dec and most were spoken for.i ended up finding the gravely mb tractor had only 3 left in all 9 of their locations so I bought it and it's awesome easier oil change, deck adjustment and blade change it only has a 23.5 hp they didn't have the 26 hp efi so I had to take it but it cuts through super thick grass set at 3 1/4 with no problems at all was super relieved thought it was gonna be underpowered I have a lot of hilly properties and it ate everything up easily.its comfortable smooth cuts great and has plenty of power and it was 10, 300
2700 cheaper then the scag and the others as well I did get prices and they were all high 12's and 13k IDK bit I'm psyched ill take a quick video of it and upload it I'm NHWilderness if ur interested..good video by the way finally and to the point with no music and BS!

I have a v ride 2 and I don’t have to take the plate off to get the center blade. I go on the under side with a wrench and use a impact from the bottom while I’m laying down. It’s faster because I don’t have to take off the plate and I don’t risk getting burned.

Thanks for great info Matt. I have a unique question. I am in the market for a mower and really have my eyes on a Scag. I have 15, 000 sf of yard to mow. I’m debating between the SFC30 and the 32” VRide 2. I know they are wildly different mowers, but I can’t make my mind up. Of course I would love the VRide but it’s incredibly expensive and I think it could be overkill for residential use. I need something small because my gate is 35” wide. My wife is pushing for the VRide to reduce the time I’m working in the yard, but I think she’s under appreciating the other items I’m going to have to spend money on for taking care of the yard. For personal use on a flat Bermuda yard like that, would you be content with the SFC30 or would you want to have the VRide regardless even given the cost knowing you’re not making money off the equipment.

What the heck am I doing wrong with this deck lever? I CANNOT get the deck to lock in the up position. It's as if there is no up position. I have to re-pin the deck to up, then re-pin it to mow, then re-pin it to put it on the trailer. The manual says ON PAGE 20, "(2.) Pull the cutter deck lift lever all the way backward UNTIL IT LOCKS IN PLACE." What is up???

Most reviews are on newish machines, any body got a video on a scag that’s done say 2000-3000 hours how they hold up
