I got this from my dad for Christmas 2006 and still have it. It’s been a good unit overall, though it’s been showing it’s age as of late.

I have this same dvd recorder, it's the only one I every bought and needed for recording college sporting events. Still works, but I've used it less & less now after cutting the cord. (Without cable or a box to send out AV outputs, cannot get much usage from it.)

Will this work with a digital TV? I can play VHS tapes and DVDs on mine but cannot get anything else on my TV screen e.g. "Set Up" so I can finalize DVD recordings.

I have a similar model released around 2005/6.
The DVD side dont work.
P.S. Have you made a video about that little TV/VCR combo that you used in this video ?

One strange thing about this DVD recorder is that it will only record on certain brands of recordable DVD, unlike the Magnavox I have, which will record on any DVD-R or DVD+R. You can find the manual for the Funai online and it will give a list of which disc brands it's compatible with.

I just bought the same make and model on Amazon Prime earlier today and am expecting it to be delivered in a couple of days. I have a Magnavox VCR/DVD recorder combo, but a tape I played recently had apparently caused the VCR unit to make squealing sounds whenever I play any tape.

Question: I understand this unit does not have an HDMI input for HDTVs. If I were to connect it to my HDTV and my digital cable box, which input would I have to change my TV to in order to get a feed from it?
