The Temple Veil and the New Living Way

"And behold the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom." And don't miss the fact that that veil was torn from top to bottom– from God down to earth–symbolizing that access to God's presence was no longer restricted to the temple and its sacred space. We can now access the presence of God directly through what the author of Hebrews calls "the new and living way that Jesus opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh." Guys, these are mutually exclusive avenues of access to God's presence. In the Torah, God commanded a veil to separate the Most Holy Place. And then, at the death of Jesus, He tore that veil down! Why? Because it had served its God-ordained purpose and was no longer required. So resurrecting the Law of Moses would be like trying to sow the veil back together that God tore apart. We can't have both. God didn't leave us that option.

Moses, Abraham and many others communicated directly with God without needing a Temple. The torn curtain symbolised the end of the Temple and its sacrificial system, not necessarily that people could not communicate with God directly, as Enoch, Noah, etc all seemed to talk to God.

Well there were 4 veils in the Second Temple. The only veil that people could witness be torn was the outer one to the holy place, not the veil to the holy of holies. So it can’t be said that we have direct access to the Holy of Holies.
And in regards to Hebrews, we have access to Holy of Holies not directly, but through Jesus.
Just like how the High Priest represented the people when he went to the holy of holies. And that was only on Yom Kippur, which the book of Hebrews makes references to in several passages. And those references are for a reason.

Can you speak about the cord that no longer turns red?.

What book, chapter and verse says the veil being torn means the offering system has come to an end?

Were there not two curtains in the Temple? One separating the Holy place from the most Holy place and a second curtain separating the most Holy place from the Holy of Holies. What book, chapter. And verse says which one was torn?

When therefore he had carefully purged it, and had brought in new vessels, the candlestick, the table [of shew-bread], and the altar [of incense], which were made of gold, he hung up the 👉🏻veils at the gates, and added doors to them. 👈🏻 Antiquities of the Jews Book 12 Ch7 v6

But that gate which was at this end of the first part of the house was, as we have already observed, all over covered with gold, as was its whole wall about it; it had also golden vines above it, from which clusters of grapes hung as tall as a man’s height. But then this house, as it was divided into two parts, the inner part was lower than the appearance of the outer, and had golden doors of fifty-five cubits latitude, and sixteen in breadth; but before these doors there was 👉🏻 a veil of equal largeness with the doors👈🏻. It was a Babylonian curtain, embroidered with blue, and fine linen, and scarlet, and purple, and of a contexture that was truly wonderful. Nor was this mixture of colors without its mystical interpretation, but was a kind of image of the universe; for by the scarlet there seemed to be enigmatically signified fire, by the fine flax the earth, by the blue the air, and by the purple the sea; two of them having their colors the foundation of this resemblance; but the fine flax and the purple have their own origin for that foundation, the earth producing the one, and the sea the other. This curtain had also embroidered upon it all that was mystical in the heavens, excepting that of the [twelve] signs, representing living creatures. The War of the Jews Book 5 Ch5 v4

But the inmost part of the temple of all was of twenty cubits. This was also separated from 👉🏻the outer part by a veil. 👈🏻In this there was nothing at all. It was inaccessible and inviolable, and not to be seen by any; and was called the Holy of Holies. The War of the Jews Book 5 Ch5 v5

“The thickness of the veil [of the Temple] was a hand-breadth. It was woven of seventy-two cords, each cord consisting of twenty-four strands. Its length was forty cubits, by twenty in width. It was made by eighty-two myriads of damsels, and two such veils were made every year. It took three hundred priests to immerse and cleanse it [if it becomes unclean].” Ein Yaakov, Chullin Ch 7

The veil wasn't in place for us Gentiles. That was given to God's chosen. The ones who reject his message the most.

Brother, please consider the anyone within the Temple at the time would have seen, not merely a curtain opened, but an empty Most Holy Place. The Ark of the Presence had not been within the Temple for many years. The Presence, Who had presented Himself had been rejected. This, all Israel was essentially, 'playing church' as is the case whenever we gather without His Presence. Pastor Greg

Why is the ten Commandments is being called the law of Moses? Isn't the ten Commandments spake and then written by God upon two tablets, isn't laws of Moses written by Moses in a book? For it is written in John chapter 1 verse 17 for the law was given by Moses but grace and truth came by Lord Jesus the Christ, is the commandments of God the same as the law of Moses?

The first thing that cause us to think in the wrong direction. Is to believe in the translation as the word of God. It is the word of God if the translation agrees with the word of god. Otherwise, it is a misunderstanding or worse.

The law of Moses was a translation. This is not the word of God. Anybody who is willing to take the time. And look it up will see that there is no Law of Moses in the Hebrew.

This is the first thing that gets us off track and everything else flows from it. Once we are off track, it is very hard to get us back on.

Lol. This was desperate. It also is a refutation of your previous claims
