i got one of these maybe 6 months ago. the neck is incredibly comfortable to play - in the future bass utopia all necks will have rolled edges. the instrument sounds fantastic in either passive or active mode. while there's no tone control in passive mode (only volume and pickup balance) it's easy to get a variety of sounds. the 'plus' is well worth the premium over the regular player line which i'd spent a couple months with before. i've got mine strung with a set of d'addario halfrounds. this colour is beautiful in person as well.

I have the Player Plus V Jazz in Tequila Sunrise and I can attest it's a great bass.

Very nice video, when the little switch is on passive, do you also need batteries? so when youre on a gig and its like ohh shot my batteries are empty so you can switch to passive and it works again?

Fender Player Plus Jazz Basses are very high quality! I've bought a 5-string in Opal Spark. Pictures don't do justice of how beautiful the finish looks.

I don't have any complaints about mine in aged candy apple red aside from the high mass bridge not really being a good fit for this bass, I feel. You just cannot seem to get the string spacing 100%, it's always just a little off. I am talking like a tiny bit, but it's there.

The Player series are very high-quality instruments at a very reasonable price. Raul - dude, for demo's, its pretty important you do not overload the preamp. The clipping is the sound of bad gain structure, not the bass.

Nice bass I would buy one except at 10 lbs it's kinda heavy fender needs to find a way to shave some weight off

I have a 69 Fender Precision w/Jazz Neck at the time custom color, Ocean Turqoise, block inlay on rosewood neck/bought at the music store I worked for in 1969. 2024 and Fender Custom Shop says "Sorry we won't touch it because you don't have a receipt"; although I do have owners manual with name of assembler "E Paxton", only Custom Shop in Colorado is HB Woodsong, Boulder. I thought Fender had control of their channel. I believe HB Woodsong is telling Fender that no receipt, no work. If they would do this to a Senior, think what they'll do to YOU. Buyer Beware.
