Lots of people say he invented a device that there's no evidence for. Maybe there's no evidence because the device never existed. If you think you can direct a stream of plasma across the air at a distance of even 20 to 50 feet. I want to see it. The problem with using a particle accelerator in an atmosphere is that the air is full of atoms that are going to react to and disperse ( not to mention reflect ) the particle stream. I would be about mile away if you're allergic to X-rays and meson particles. The chances of getting a face full of X-rays just being near it would be extremely high. I'm not saying a device similar to that couldn't be constructed with the right technology and funding. I'm saying Tesla couldn't have built it. High frequency mega voltage isn't something most people have any experience with. The only way Im aware to achieve this would be to apply the fundamental principals of radio transmission. Think electro magnetic.
