𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐉𝐚𝐳𝐳 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 is a trio featuring Abdias Armenteros (saxophone, 22), Sebastian Rios (bass, 25), and TJ Reddick (drums, 23), who met while they were students at the prestigious 𝕁𝕦𝕚𝕝𝕝𝕚𝕒𝕣𝕕 𝕊𝕔𝕙𝕠𝕠𝕝 at the 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬, New York. They started playing as a group regularly in the summer of 2020; unable to play in live music venues during the pandemic lockdown, they would meet to play on a weekly basis in the parks and streets of NYC. In 2021, this led to their online New Jazz Underground Live series on Youtube, and to live performances once venues reopened.
