Bone wall is so much better than bone prison for bone spear users, as you can angle them to create natural walls the enemies follow, basically forcing them to walk single file and funneling them right into a path where your spear can hit like 10 enemies per cast. You can basically reshape the battlefield to divide enemy into groups and make them funnel right where you want them so you can hit multiple onces once you master the position of your bone walls. Plus when you really want to give youself time or safety... You can just spam multiple bone walls next to one another to create a multi-layered barrier that will take long to destroy while still being able to shoot through it... Bone wall is the main thing that's fun with the bonemancer, as it's the only class in the game that can change the layout of the battlefield to suit his needs. Never really liked bone prison, asides from in PVP...

Internet has been out, right after ladder launch pretty much! Made a bone NEC following your guides and beat the game in a couple days! Very rewarding!

i think points into teeth is better than points into CE. CE can always be boosted by gear, but synergy can only come from skillpoints. plus, Teeth has a similar effect to multishot when it has enough points; good for clearing trash in Normal and Nightmare.

To me, Dim Vision is too effective to just leave at one point. I like getting 5 points into DV fairly early on. At 1 point DV isn't that good, but once you get it up to around 5 points it covers s pretty big area, and then when your plus skills can get it up into the double digits it's huge. I think without question the biggest problem for a bonemancer is packs of archers and DV shuts them down. I also think that getting Insight onto your Merc ASAP is essential. Without Insight a Bonemancer struggles until you get into really high gear. Getting Insight onto your Merc as soon as you can in the 20s is huge and makes it so you can spam Bone Spear. In any guide I would definitely put an emphasis on getting Insight ASAP. I do like Bone Prison over Bone Wall, though both are effective. I keep both Dim Vision and Bone Prison on the mouse wheel so I can flip back and forth between them easily and yeah, it makes for by far the most crowd control in the game. I only put 1 point into Corps Explosion, because you just don't have the points to spare. To me CE is just a nice to have. I only use it against Magic Immunities. Otherwise I go for maxing out the Bone spells for max damage there, because CE provides no utility for Boss Fights. I also put 3 or 4 points into Clay Golem to get a little more slow effect. It gets him into the 50% slow region without too many +skills. I don't bother with Decrepify. I don't even put a point into Amp Damage until Act II of Hell, because prior to that there is essentially no need for CE. For me, the curses are just 5 points into Dim Vision and 1 into Amp Damage and that's it. 3 into Clay Golem, 1 in Golem Mastery and 1 in SR, then everything else into Bone spells, with Teeth getting the last points. At max level you end up with 17 points into Teeth and 20 into the other bone spells, for almost max bone damage. +5 to skills is not hard even in Nightmare, and toward the end of Hell +7 to +11 to skills is easily doable.

Corps explosion doesn't get dmg per lvl, only more range on the explosion and it cost more manq. Maxing every bone spells get you more dmg and + point on you gear will give you enough range on the corps explosion if needed

I don't get this guide, it begins with Llama saying not to put any points into strength, just 25 strength and rest in vitality, but then he puts on a spirit shield? Where do I get this strength then?

Bone Spirit is actually great for bosses, I personally prefer having it over more survivability and clay golem.

I'm curious why the normal/hell defensive a2 merc is never mentioned, I love running it even into hell. Defiance has helped a lot and keeps me alive.

Can you please do a video on class specific bases for people to look out for? And what skills people generally want on them? Like wands with +3 BS or Necro heads, assassin weapons and what skills.... Dru/baba helms/skills etc? I'm having a Dickens of a time finding a 3 BS Necro head (white or grey). Thanks!!

I just started a bonemancer I'm level 15 and I'm running out of mana fast as shit what can be done about this? I know I can use mana pots but I be drankin 100s of pots to clear a dungeon it just seems tedious
