When your partner does this, they are showing their true selves, all their immaturity, insecurities, lack of respect for everyone involved including themselves. It's bad character, bad morals. When we observe this behavior in our relationship, we know we can't trust them and we can't give ourselves to them fully. As long as we stay with someone who does this to us, we are ignoring our own needs, giving up our own happiness, slowly losing ourselves in their negative lifestyle.
