Bought mine from Lowes less than a year ago. Now the thumb lever very difficult to move. I took it apart, lubed the plastic ball valve and thumb control. It worked nice and easy until under pressure. Oh well, I will try another brand.

Bought mine last year from Lowe’s. Babied the hell out of it because they all break within a year. Go to use it this new spring season and the head just blows off the end. No fix for that. Don’t waste your money.

love these nozzles, we have had 3 of them, one for each hose for about 4 years. Short one does great no leaks at all but the medium length and long one both started leaking at bottom of selection dialer about 2 weeks after purchase. I have tried to figure a way to tighten but does not seemed to be a way. I should have returned to lowes but didnt. wish i could figure out a way to stop the leak its aggravating as it drips heavily right in front of my feet. I doubt if I ever buy another one and would not reccomend the longer ones at all.

Like others, I had two of them that started to leak at the sides of the thumb lever. I broke one apart and there are O rings on each side but there seems to be no way to non destructively remove the black buttons that hold the valve in place. Either side would do because with one "button" out, the valve with O rings slides out the opposite side. It is probably my fault for leaving it out but they make a simple O ring replacement impossible.

Hey Orbit: how do you take it apart. I've disassemble it till only the thumb trigger mechanism is left. It seems like with all the other part out, the center portion of the thumb valve should drive out allowing one to lubricate the barrel. Like others, the thumb nozzle on my 4 year old one is hard to turn. I know it's just because of hard water and cleaning and lubricating would probably fix this. FWIW, I only by this type of nozzle in the short and long versions. Including the fire hose style unit, I have 6 Orbit nozzles on my property. A little support would be nice. TY

Will become hard to move the thump trigger. What did they expect? Outdoor product should not rely on smooth contact. I thought the design allow you to grease the mechanism as needed but it seems to be not serviceable.

I just stole one from the side of a house, yeah there pretty good, I'll have to go back and get his hose aswell

Thumb control valve started leaking in 1 month. Meaning when you turn the valve to off position water is still coming out. Would not recommend this product.
