The first episode of S9 was definitely a Marta Kauffman trope because it carried over to Grace and Frankie, where one character is in the hospital as a patient, and the entire main cast is just lounging around or roaming the halls of the hospital like it's a social club. In this case, if mother and baby are doing well, baby's in the nursery and mother is asleep... why the hell are FOUR of her friends just lollygagging around the hospital?
