Funny thing is this actually fits SMITE surprisingly well, because after Lovecraft's death, a lot of Cthulhu-mythos writers after him started adding pantheons to the lore.

funnily enough there's a comparable being in Greek mythology, typhon. When typhon's emerged, Zeus was the only one of two Gods who weren't immediately broken by terror. so this is about right.
