If i’m not mistaken, the pronunciation that ends in “i” is used in Northern and Western US, apart from the UK. The end in “ai” is US Southern.

In American English the word "semi" is also what they call a truck with a trailer, in Italian "TIR".

We use both in Australia. Whilst I use British one, one of my fds uses the American one.
How about ‘Dynasty’?
UK/AUS ‘Din-na-sti’
US ‘Dai-na-sti’ haha
