The passengers are 100% at fault for how that bathroom looks. That's disgusting

So they trashed out the bathroom. People are disgusting. Hate to see their bathroom, can't be clean in a public bathroom is disgusting.

Unfortunately, this reminds me of why I have not taken Amtrak in 20 years. In Europe, the trains run like clockwork. Travel there is an absolute pleasure. America, not so much. A real shame. That employee does deserve a medal for handling the situation. Very stressful scenario.

This country’s infrastructure is horrible. But, ya know, corporate and personal greed would do that.

Wish our country wasn't stuck with antiquated trains...

Well sorry people but when you take a train somewhere or an airplane or a boat on trips be prepared for the worst nothing's guaranteed. So quit your crying

All they gotta do is put these ppl onto a bus at Amtrak expense to the next location where another train could take over, or get them to a plane. There should be laws on reimbursement and compensation based on the duration of Delay. It is a train, not a cruise where ppl can just continue to enjoy their day or be offered wifi to work.

No matter what, the train is a much better travel experience then flying. I love the positivity of the attendee. This guy is making a mistake with other travel. Rare for this to happen. Go AMTRACK!!!

What a difference between train travel in the US and train travel in Japan. Like night and day. WOW.

That employee handled it so graciously! People need more patience and to slow down. Being delayed 20 is nothing when you think of all the other problems that could have happened.

Amtrak should have chartered buses to complete the trip.

I took Amtrak from Salt Lake City to Chicago back in 2014. The train got delayed in Reno after a homeless man was struck and killed. So departure from Salt Lake City was delayed by 7 hours. Once we left Salt Lake City and got into the mountains leading into Colorado we encountered the worst torrential rain to hit the area in 70 years; parts of the track were in danger of washing out so the train couldn't run faster than 25 mph. Another delay of 8 hours which put us 15 hours behind scheduled arrival. It was nerve-wracking.

So two transportation systems became paralyzed at the same. Amazing.
