Making a 1910s petticoat | Historical underwear

I made a 1910s petticoat to finish up my series on 1910s historical undergarments.
This petticoat will probably work for edwardian and late victorian eras.

I could have made a simple petticoat but that would be boring so my edwardian petticoat is decorated with insertion lace and pin tucks.
Originally I wanted to use a historical sewing pattern but in true sewing manual fashion that wasn't really possible.

I hope you enjoyed the mking of this 1910s petticoat. If you did there is more edwardian fashion content on my channel!

Really love how the pintucks shape those panels and make them flare...

Beautiful, and here in my neck of the woods in Texas, finding good insertion lace is a pain too.

Great video! The finished petticoat is so lovely. I'm trying with the same pattern but could not understand at all (sigh). Does the pattern mean that I need to cut two identical pieces on fold along the perpendicular line at the right hand side? And to make a placket at the centre back? Thank you!!
