According to my research, Kumina is a Jamaican religion, basically just a continuation of African based beliefs carried over to the Caribbean. This was also heavily accompanied by the Nyabinghi drums, these drums originate from the Asante/Ashanti empire of modern day Ghana. The enslaved Ashanti/Akan related groups brought this drumming tradition with them which would form the foundation of many later popular music genres such as Mento, Ska and Reggae. The drumming in the original that can be heard hear is essentially Nyabinghi drumming. This is a modern version of that with other influences
