A little advice for a beginner while doing grannyal square : finish 1 full granny to see the outcome. If theres a mistake, u can find it right away. If u dont like the color combination, it'll show up

This is called “frogging” and it’s absolutely ok. Anytime I start something and it isn’t working out, I just unravel and begin again. YOU’RE DOING VERY WELL! Keep it up 😊

"I can't believe I made such a rookie mistake" girl you are a rookie! It's OK to make mistakes while you learn

First lesson any crocheter needs to learn is that you HAVE to be okay with frogging hours of work to get the result you want. Never be scared to rip it out and try again, because when you finish it CORRECTLY, you’ll love it so much more than being able to see gaps or bad stitches. Been knitting and crocheting for years and still have to frog work like this 🐸 your blankets so pretty tho

my mum would be so proud you took it all apart and started again, a hard lesson but you looked so proud of yourself for persevering

I'm glad you stuck with it. My crochet is sometimes a problem for myself. It's ALWAYS worth it!

Rookies make rookie mistakes! But you've jumped in and are sticking with it, and it's amazing ❤

Could you post the link to the pattern for this?! I love the chunky squares & the specific flower petal pattern on this one!

Great job on it by the way! You’re doing so good for a beginner. It took me a while to get granny squares down, especially the flower/sunburst patterns because they have bobble & puff stitches in them. Keep up the amazing work babe! ❤ 🧶

Así!!! Muy bien!!!! Aunque te equivocaste y tuviste que retocar tanto trabajo, nunca te has rendido. Eso es lo que hace que disfrutes más de tu manta al terminar. 👍👍👍

I found out the hard way when I taught myself to crochet that the stitch count is very important. A hat shouldn’t get larger as it goes up. 😆 I agree with other comments about using a stitch marker. That helps me so much. It makes it much easier to count the stitches. I’m working on this same blanket right now because of you! 🙂

The one of the 2 things I don't like crocheting, count and sew all the ends, the rest is awesome!

GOLDEN tip for crochet: sometimes you can just keep going along with the mistake! the flowers first looked pretty and took so much work! i made a similar mistake also with flower granny squares and realized that a long as i can make corners evenly surrounding the flower (with even number of petals) it would mantain the square and i just had to stay consistent with the "mistake" or actually, my own new pattern! remember, crochet is like draing and there are many ways of representing what you want!
