It's amazing, you can actually hear how underwhelmed and disappointed the audience is when they unveil the portrait

Both portraits are horrible. Not presidential at all.

Obama a is the most cerebral President I knew equipped with good judgement. He is analytical who did his homework, always prepared and mastered the issue of the day; not afraid to say “I don’t know” and ask questions. Obama respected all people young and old, male and female working for him and associated with him. Above all he is not phony whose ego is inflated like Trump. Obama’s emotional intelligence and competence are impeccable. I believe unlike Trump, history will have the at most regards to Obama.

Barack's picture is ridiculous....like him sitting on the toilet superimposed on some leaves. Michael's picture does not look like him/her in the least bit...no resemblance. Who chose such lousy artists?

Do research on the artist. This is his style. Everyone would understand more if they took time. He is an amazing artist. I saw some of his work in person. Fair well.

I do think the painting looks good, but it doest look like what a Presidential Portrait should be. All the other Presidential Portraits looked super statesmanlike, like the had just wandered into the President's office to see him pondering greatness. That's not what Obama's looks like, it feels like I found him in a forrest.

And the same goes for Micheal's, it is way too stylized. And again, both are great paintings, they just aren't great Presidential and First Lady portraits. They completely missed the style and vibe of what they should be.
