to all the international viewers out there, this song is so fitting for the finale lip sync.
This is basically a song about how empowering gay people and eliminating the stigma associated with the LGBTQ+ in the Philippines and highlighting some of the harsh events they experience when they grow up in the Philippines (such as parents beating their gay kids for acting in a certain kind of way but will eventually forgive them when they realized their kids are normal just like other kids)..
anyways its a perfect song to wrap up this whole season

Marina came out guns ablazing at the start but PPN picked up speed soon after. A great lipsync overall! My favorite part is during the "Drum na may tubig ang sinisisid (in a drum with water I swim) lyric. Marina wrapped that red fabric on her throat probably symbolising that drowning/suffocating feeling of oppression as an LGBT individual, her mind! This song Sirena is such an important song to the PH LGBT community, it tells a story about the experience of our fellow LGBT individuala. Hope people listen to it and look into it's meaning.

A fitting song for the final lipsynch...

Sirena or siren/mermaid in English, it tells the story of a homosexual man. From childhood where the act and walk girly while in make up and dressing up like a girl, experiencing discrimination and being abused by their own father for being who they are.. It also tells how they take care of their father until the father died due to old age and sickness as a filial duty and because the other siblings already have their own families and unable to take care of their father, while doing so the father asks for his child's forgiveness for the things he has done ... The chorus tells what the father did to them as a child, which is being plunged under a water drum full of water, which is a common punishment done to those who are homosexual men, hence siren/mermaid..
