Today we finally managed to get the Nissan Skyline R33 with the fresh RB25det up on the Dyno to see just how much power it will make, and also see if the rebuild was healthy. Things didn't do go well...

There is always quite a few experts in these comments, but just to clear a few things up 😁
A coolant leak on the dyno drained most of the initial water we had in the system, in the interest of getting the rings bedded in we decided to continue to run it up and just keep water up to it to complete the run in process. Having the car on ramps on the dyno did not allow us to properly bleed the system before putting the car back on the hoist. Once on the hoist (level) with the system bled properly we had no more issues of the system consuming water, nor did we have any more water out the exhaust. Which leads us to believe it may have simply been air lock on the cooling side, and still condensation in the cat from running the car up then allowing it to cool periodically before running it up again.
LeakDown test returned a perfectly even and healthy amount of loss over all 6. So there is no evidence to suggest these two problems are even related.
The idea of the stop leak is that it is a last resort for if problems persist. For anyone that has worked with MLS gaskets before will understand they can take a few heat cycles to properly seal. However we need to sort out the issues causing it to be so lean before we continue to run and load it up.
More fault finding on the dyno this week in an attempt to get the stock setup running correctly to save Zac some money ✌️

seems a bit strange, they do take a lot of coolant, did you crack the bleeder bolt on the manifold by where the pcv system goes into the intake?

quality takes time! excited to see it once it's finished, keep it up Zac :)

If your still losing coolant and its ending up in the exhaust after the motor was rebuilt, Look at your turbo, it could have a blown seal

Was the heater core open when coolant was filled?

is the turbo watercooled as well as oil? could be a unhappy seal

Bro it's common for the R33 fuel pumps to shit themselves. Get a walbro 255 and do a relay for ecu bypass. Have you guys also cleaned the injectors?

Good luck Zac, I hope you sort the problem out... hang in there

Can you smell coolant in exhaust? If it's not head gasket then its often the intake manifold gasket, I'd be inclined to check that before chucking stop leak in a new engine.
33 is looking on point btw...👌

I appreciate the effort going into the rig. However it truely seems as though you've got a nugget of an engine, there is generally a good reason these things would be staying off the road. Which sucks.

Cut losses, save up and get another/better engine combo or continue to try bandaid problems?

I would Recommend a new decent radiator to go with the fresh Rb engine .. we have each time
