Noice - sounds like a mental build. Nice to see someone not chasing big power for a change, staying true to the car!

When he was reading the head specs my only reaction was "Holy Sh*t"

ITBs on a NA application is the absolute noble thing to do and TODA is the best on the market, terrific choices.

Good job, James.

How I dream of being able to have ITBs on my s2000, alas I don’t think I’ll be able to do so any time soon! Very envious! Please keep posting videos about this build! 😁

When a Lotus Evora owner says that the Honda S2000 is one of the best cars he’s ever bought and owned that just speaks volumes of praise.

F20C on bodies be awesome. My car is also bright yellow on ITBs, and built to be a ultimate Street spec sort of approach - I approve! :D

A blueprinted S2k. It’s a shame I can only thumbs up this video once. It’s the only car I regret not owning. I had 2 deals fall through on the S2k. Ended up with a track prepped 986 S instead.

Love how driving focus the mods are! Had a s2000 but never had the budget to do that kind of stuff to it. Would love to see you having the parts installed, so viewers can be a part of the journey👍

Absolutely 100% agree with the build philosophy. Generally people have become obsessed with a cars performance on paper. In the real world, less is often more and this thing is gonna be an absolute peach!

This is the sort of car you can keep forever and it doesn’t age (or lose value). I think a lot of that is down to the simple styling and basic interior design without a dated screen ruining it. Timeless

I am looking forward to see the ITB street singer. A wheel that looks OEM+ and it's very strong and very very light is TWS Motorsport T66-F. Sub 7 kg per wheel in 17x8.

I love you. Thank god all the mods you plan to do are in no way disrespecting the car's unique character!

Great direction with the S2000, can't wait to see what the results are as I don't want to supercharge or turbo mine either. The engine is an amazing N/A and should stay that way.

Fellow s2000 owner here, just want to say the part selection is spot on. For wheels ce28n's in 17x9 can do no wrong for quality and performance.

If you like what it has it makes sense to enhance that aspect. While also not going too overboard. A true connoisseur tune!

😲 cant wait to see this being built. As a fellow s2k enthusiast/owner I have a soft spot for how special these cars are. owned mine for over 10 years now, I ended up going the supercharged route as I had a need for more power but didnt want to give up the car. But like you're doing, I kept the looks completely stock. She doesnt go out so much, only on sunny days 👍I wish I had documented its life through youtube. it's never too late I guess.

Glad you're not going with some of the extreme routes. Still enjoying my stock GPW '03 and sounds like your choice of mods is ideal for someone like me, though I may end up going a little simpler since I don't want to bother with tuning.

I subscribed because of this car and can't wait to see how it all turns out!

Tire Rack special wheels are affordable 17x9 that can be ran on each corner without modifying your fenders & look OEM-ish. I would recommend swapping the final drive to make the gears effectively shorter and give you more torque at the wheels. With a "Yellow Jacket" you can correct the speedometer for it. I would also recommend going with a Urge Designs "Unicorn" header since it makes good power across the board on the S2000. With a test pipe and a 70mm exhaust you make the most power but with a test pipe and a "UK mod" you get more noise but no rasp or drone.
I have a USA AP1 with a AP2 gearbox, upgraded final drive, the gutted airbox with a K&N filter, Urge Header, Ported TB+Intake Manifold, the UK mod, a Circuit Works 63.5mm test pipe, and a Ballade plug-n-play Ktuner. I have about 185whp stock to 220whp while amplifying the noise and gaining TONS of mid-range by having VTEC engage sooner. I would also recommend getting a SoS NSX Type S Shifter Replica. It makes the car easier to shift when cold and adds a nice touch. I was going the ITB route but cost was my limiting issue.
