Such a wonderful video, Angela. Your skin is so gorgeous. I absolutely love the Chanel base products. I use a combination of the Water Fresh Tint, The Complexion Touch and No1 to get the perfect amount of coverage for me. I use Light in the Water Fresh and B10 in the other two. I use one pump of the Water Fresh and one pump of the Complexion Touch. I pump them onto an acrylic palette and mix to burst the pigment bubbles. I then apply two thin layers. I really like the brush that comes with the Water Fresh Tint. I allow it to set for a minute or two and then I take a good look and decide if that is enough coverage for me depending on my plans. If I want a little more coverage, I add the No1 to whatever I have left on the palette. I try and only allow a drop or two of the No1 to pump out. I mix and usually tap this mixture where I need the extra coverage. I would encourage everyone to look at their makeup in a different way and sometimes a beautiful foundation is even prettier when applied in a lighter amount or mixed. I have mixed a little foundation into my moisturizer and applied it that way and get a lighter coverage. As I have mentioned before, I am embracing my sunspots and recognize that while I am using skin care to lighten them, I likely won't get rid of them completely so I have made friends with them!
After watching your videos I have taken to looking at my eye shadow palettes differently. I have always used lipsticks as blush but I have found that a lot of my eye shadow palettes contain colors, finishes and textures that lend themselves to being blush, bronzer and highlighter. It is the reason I chose the Hermes eye shadow palette with the pink shade as it is a lovely blush shade.
I find that when I make the effort to get the best base, I end up with a much nicer overall look. You can have amazing eye makeup, beautiful blush and gorgeous lips but if the base is cakey, too oily, wearing off or the wrong shade, you aren't going to have the overall effect you want.
I love this series and have purchased so many Chanel products since finding your channel. You truly epitomize the iconic French woman. Your elegance, refined taste and philosophy towards living and makeup is inspirational and your voice is very soothing.
