Being a YouTuber is very similar to running your own business. You should upload things people want to see, just like businessman should offer product/service that people need. And when the growth becomes real, you can consider hiring people to help you run your channel more efficiently. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a little bit of help from Fame -ster of course) will always pay off at the end.

I started my beekeeping channel in 2008. I posted regularly and my channel finally gained traction in 2016. Then, in 2022 I reached 100, 000 subscribers and received YouTube's silver play button. My approach was simply to BE REAL, and make content to help MY AUDIENCE. Overnight success is VERY RARE!

This is a Video small content creators need to watch. I completely agree with all of this and if you decide to change your niche its not to late. I did a whole turn around and I went from 5k subs to 50k subs in the first month now I'm at 80k and about to get the silver shiny thing. Just don't give up!

Step 1: Understanding your audience (make content that resonates with your audience)
Step 2: Finding Ideas (research what other content your audience is watching)
Step 3: Groundwork (does your channel have a sustainable topic for a year and beyond)
Step 4: Consistency (with engaging uploads)

I can not emphasise enough that breaks are important. Especially if you work part or full time. If you're lucky enough that your parents or someone else supports you or you're on the dole, good for you but for many of us YouTube, work a d life can burn you out and it's important to understand know when you need a break. Even if the hiatus is for a longer period.

Me and my son decided to start acting like we already had thousands of followers and it's kind of been our guiding principal.

Thanks for the help! As a new YouTuber this free info is appreciated. I have so many ideas but it’s hard to translate it to a great quality video. My last video was had the best browse feature recommendations. I couldn’t get many people to click though. My thumbnails suck. I’ll be honest though I have never written a script for my videos and haven’t developed hooks. Time to get to work.

It’s very unfortunate that a niche and audience is stuck one way. I am trying to start a gaming channel and I want to include a little bit of real life and some Pokemon card openings, but don’t have time to build up separate channels and post somewhat consistently.

The editing takes up too much time for this, and I can’t afford one. So I’m trying to break the norm and run a channel that shows a variety of each. Every video is slowly becoming better than the last. I will try to work with this for a year and if nothing pops then I’ll see if it’s worth my time to just post at very slow rates.

I’m just waiting for that one thing to catch and maybe focus more on it

Great video. Commitment is key. But it is also vital to know when to take a break. If you need to miss a week, do it. By the way, the community tab is your friend. It is a brilliant way to build community and just let viewers know if you need to take a few weeks off.
