Worker in New London: Works 8 hours at a well heated lumber mill whining with full discontent bar.
Scouts: Drags with truckloads of resources 24/7 without food or rest.

Blessed are the workers, toiling through the day.
Blessed be the Generator, keep the cold at bay.
And while we hope, and stay content, and risk the overdrive,
Above all else, we understand, The City Must Survive.

Played this frozen gem in the winter leaving the heater turned off. A religious experience.

the scouts in this game are the best, they aren't bitching around about going back in London after 20 days of working, they do their task and they do it good

Respect to the Scouts.

You travelled far into the Frozen wasteland in service of the City. The city survives because of your efforts. You are the real MVP.

I feel like HBO could make a movie based on this game.

The soundtrack is hauntingly beautiful. It inspires either hope or desperation, either makes you panic or relax. There is no respite between these extreme emotions.
I've made the mistake of playing the game for hours on end wearing headphones and this track got stuck in my head for the rest of the day and beyond.
I discovered this game and music at a perfect time for me. Every day is a struggle and this music matches it perfectly.

I love that you can hear their hands sliding on the neck of the instruments in the beginning. Really organic and makes it feel that much more.

We lived to see another day. The Storm, in all its hellish brutality, passed without so much as a thunderous boom, but with a silent whimper, growing ever quieter. The streets of our city were filled with people celebrating, crying tears of joy, and most importantly... smiling. From the early days to the Londoners Crisis. The preparations for what was to come, and the titan that was the Storm. We survived...

And... I think... we haven't crossed the line.

This would make for an interesting movie, or maybe like a netflix mini series?

i played almost 2 weeks of
there is just nothing like Frostpunk.
the grittiness, the personal connection, seeing each person struggle and thrive,
keeping everyone and the city alive. no one was expendable in my New London, even on Extreme difficulty
