Ice is also just as bad if not *worse* in base Sinnoh, you only get the Snover and Sneasel lines at Route 216/217 which is after the 6th badge. It adds to why Cynthia was hard, because you barely have anything to hit Garchomp for Super Effective damage with.

The funny part about the lack of fire types is they still for some insane reason made a fire type elite four member. Steelix is my favorite fire type pokemon.

I feel like the only way to make a fire type "boss" would've been gym 1 or 2, but that would've required them not making a rock type gym 1 for the 3rd time.
