PlayStation 1 - SCPH-1000 - CD Player Test on upgraded Stereo

The original PlayStation 1, SCPH-1000 came in a nonfunctioning condition. A fuse for the CD Motor had to be replaced and also the laser unit itself. The lens got blind, so the KSM440-AAM got replaced with a KSM440-BAM. As you can see, it has no problem to read the disc, even with the downfire subs running at around 60%.

Here I made a quick test, with the CD Player function, playing some Hardwave for you, the 5 neighbors and me.

Two Harman Kardon TS-11 Subs has been added to the system.

Sadly I don't have a good microphone, so there are nearly no correct mids recorded and it is just bass-heavy.

I am trying to force some Fearful Harmonys and severe Glitches in the next time, this is where it all started, I expect much from this system.

I find it interesting that the startup sound on the SCPH-1000 doesnt stop when it reaches the menu and it still plays for a while.

It plays CD audio with bit perfect quality. And reads extremely fast

Lol when I was a little dumbass kid I used to put the disc in upside down and this screen would come up. Also had it show up a few times playing MK4 or Gold or whatever and it acted as a sound test for the game. That's the whole reason I went on a youtube rabbit hole looking for this screen and that's why I'm here 🤣
