The people making these decisions have no idea what you are going through. They are out of touch with reality

Shouldn't have kids especially when you can't afford them.

I am 55 years old and I have seen hands held out for help the whole time. Nobody improves. I wonder why?

If kids only meals come from schools, the problem is the parents. Taxpayers shouldn't subsidize day care.

A famous quote from Mahatma Gandhi springs to mind here: 'the true measure of any society can be found in how it treats its most vulnerable members'.

Kids/families that qualify for free daycare, also qualify for EBT, so don't act like the kids will go hungry. There's also a program for low income families to get free daycare. But, you might have to wait 3-6 months? I guess that the woman in nursing school didn't know that?
