I took Pakistan Studies in O Levels here and its true that the number of Soldiers who surrendered were 90K+. The Pakistan army factually has never won a war and instead the Generals corrupted the country to get exceptionally wealthy. Being from Pakistan I'm not ashamed at all saying this because I don't adhere to patriotism or nationalism regarding any country and Instead focus on my own individual identity.

During the 1971 'war' (West) Pakistani army unleashed terror across Bangladesh, inflicting mass rapes, killing, and looting of unarmed civilians. The political leader of East Pakistan, Mujibur Rahman, appealed to Indian PM Indira Gandhi for help, and the Indian army defeated the Pakistani army to launch the liberation of East Pakistan as 'Bangladesh'. A massive 93, 000 (!) marauding Pakistani soldiers surrendered to the Indian army, and were later released. The Pakistani Army of 1971 has much to be ashamed of, and corruption-laden Bajwa's belated rhetoric cannot erase historical facts.
