why are the assassins not the tallest ? this was more of a CPU test than a video card test ) I of course understand that for weaker maps fps will be much worse but we will see a real difference between the youngest and the strongest

That Gigabyte 580 card is rather toasty. Both Sapphire 590 and 5500 XT cards seems to show similar performance with just a slight edge ahead for the latter.

P.S The MSI 5600 XT Gaming X looks like an interesting card to consider.

got a 5500xt...for 200 180 with 580s were 160 range with rebates. Something to note....Temps vs 580 and 5500....CPU tempts with 5600 due to situation being less GPU bound....thus enabilng more CPU activity IMO. Also 5500xt somehow uses less sytem ram to run...even vram....surprisingly. Its why i chose to put it in an ITX system with 3600. Low temps Good FPS per wat. IMO best 100w GPU money can buy....also look at the CPU temps with the 5500xt...if youre trying to build a gaming rig that isnt maxed out for ITX....on air....consider a 5500xt OC option with a 3600....they pair very well. This vid is yet an other example...budget aside....temps matter esp when trying to own a system for 5 years or more....i mean go on all you want with a 580 used...but again if the things been ocd/ram etc...only a matter of time till something finally hits its voltage limit...you best hope when that GPU dies...it doesnt take a mobo/ram/psu/cpu with it. Or be sure to set a custom curve and remove at the CPU temps in the GEARS benchmark...if yall really want to game for 5+hr sessions or etc at 75 or 70+c...GL with the overall lifetime and performance of that system With 75c+ gpu to match enjoy buying a system every 2-3 years...spending the same overall as those that plan 5 year builds....in otherwords if you plan on keeping the cpu and upgrading GPU....theres an INSURANCE knowing your 3600 or even VRM is damn near 10C less the entirety youre using the budget GPU option prior to flagship GPU upgrade. These aspects are the biggest deal....not howmuch you can rip yourself off of spending properly while killing your system via voltage or used GPU/psu failure.

why are games running in such a low fps range? 580 never goes under 60 or 70. I know that no one plays at its highest settings, but 50 fps is impossible.
