Love the Mini. Yep range is on the small side but super fun to drive and range isn’t that bad. It’s very efficient too even on the motorways. I have mine now for 3 years.

Great looking MINI.

It took a long time, but I finally like F56 model, just as they’re moving it on. I had a R50 Cooper, a R56 Cooper and CooperS, and a R60 CooperSD, very characterful.

Would love to try this Resolute edition.

Great video too, Derek. I passed you on Merrion Row the other day. Only for you were on the phone, I’d have said hello!

For all of its limitations, there's still something especially compelling about an electric MINI. Give it a dedicated EV platform that improves efficiency to squeeze out 200+ miles of range and I think it could still have a place alongside more capable modern EVs.

British Racing Green and a Union Jack tail light that'll be popular with the Jackeens and in the pale.

A bit on the small side for me. Range too low as well. Price too hight but you are going for an Icon.
Like the video Thanks

My mother is a long-term Mini customer and was dead keen to buy one of these this year but the range just isn't good enough and she's decided to stick with her Diesel Mini. A shame really. The next-generation car doesn't appear to have solved this issue either. The Mini needs more range.

The wipers seem very loud. And the Union Jack tail lights would stop me even considering one.

Big problem for EV's is the size of the batteries, hard to have room in a small car. The OG Mini has oodles of room for passengers but safety rules and now the battery eats that space. Also the price! I guess car makers are in a 'get the cash first' mood as service earnings are disappearing.

Mini's are great but who is this model aimed at? You'd have to be pretty dedicated to pay 43k for this Mini EV (tech is too old, not even close to other EV's). If it was me, I'd wait for the new ground up Mini which should be a far better EV and will of course need to be price competitive.

Its alright but the price is way to much.

If I drove to the coast from here, the 100 mile/150kmtrip would take about 2 hours with 90% on motorways. I would have to find an available charger on arrival on a network I have subscribed to and hope it was working and then spend 45mins adding enough to make the return trip. Four years ago Renault Zoe 52 had about the same range.
That is why I would buy a used Tesla for the same amount and not need to deal with any of this outdated nonsense

Was a British car was the Mini back in the day but Germany got it

I wince every tine I see a new Mini, not just because of those awful union jack brake lights; but also by how overgrown and "posh" it is.

There isn't any clever or efficient packaging involved that A segment vehicles would use, the priority is to focus on the profitable sale demographics. It's just not on. 🤢

That's why I can't stand Mini, even as an EV (I'd rather the ev..) They're not small or good with clever packaging inside. No wonder they're making more than a few crossovers, Smart too.
