Thank you John for the impressive video. This is so much different to any other video about Amazon interviews I've come across. Hoping to see more coming.

I think that garbage language is mostly to get past the digital gatekeeper and unfortunately recruiters, the step 1 flesh bodied gatekeeper are naturally conditioned by the kinds of resumes the ATS lets through. It's sad but a Good Solid resume will not get through ATS because it doesn't have the "garbage language/ key words". My good resume never makes it through. When I get through with my keyword cheatsheet I will email the recruiter my actual resume so we can talk through that on the screen call.

It’s funny that with message 2 they state they are “result oriented, data driven” and yet there are no results or data in the message.

Well the garbage language is hitting all the check mark of key words that companies now day use to filter out resumes. I think that's where people get the idea that the more of those words you use the better. It sounds like absolute ass when reading as a human but the companies are like scanning those key words so people used to putting them in to get at least noticed =\

Hey, John. Thank you so much for the insight. Any advice for people without experience? Is it better to just not apply at all?

Hi Jonh! Thank you for the video, the content is super useful for someone that wants to get into the tech world.
I’m wondering what’s your opinion about people that have experience in a certain role and want to start a new challenge and get in another role with no previous experience on.

(It did sound like word vomit) I have a nagging question. How, how, how does one provide quantitative results when one is not privy to those numbers? My best solution is to start from scratch. Find a job with the primary goal of gleaning those statistics, know they're available or knowing how to get them yourself.

Love listening to you. As a side note: you kind of talk like Gary Vee 😅

Hi, I am getting lots of feedback about aws pip process and firing and all.. Mostly being reviewed by sde s.. I recently got selected as a TAM, so now wondering shall I accept the offer or not.. It's for aws india... Is this culture same for l5 tam roles too? Any guidance.. I don't see people talking about other roles than sde.. Much appreciated.. Thanks

Are you still working at Amazon? If not, then why?

I have a quick question for Just anybody? What's so impressive about working at Amazon, besides the money ( that seems questionable from Mr. Martys other videos?) If their Corp. Culture supports atrocious treatment of warehouse laborers, that tells me that they are very demanding and that it's not a supportive environment one bit

Hey John, in response to what you are talking about with people stretching their experience into new roles for growth... its a NECESSITY you arrogant duechbag, lol jk. The competitive job market DEMANDS IT unfortunately.... You literally have to take on way more than what your qualified for in order to get a position w/ decent comp & benefits. Granted that varies from every industry- company, right? But... it's no longer acceptable in America to Recruiters & HR Hiring Managers to actually talk about what you bring to the table because, " oh your writing a book about each position you've ever held " 3 yrs ago I had to adapt to this FAKE action language that Linked In seems copied & pasted to, that requires you to talk like just another corporate executive tool that only thinks in terms of policy, legal risk analysis & action- result driven lingo...nobody will give your CV the light of day if you don't at least modernize to a small degree, irregardless of how uninspired or how un-you it really is. I listen to how fast you talk & think and congratulations, your definitely a product of your work and that is the speed that everybody should be on pace w/ ( like it or not) in order to be ahead of the work volume & troubleshooting emails firing back & forth and just the raw readiness it takes to keep your leaders & customers happy at the EOD. ( see, at my company, we are ACRONYM JUNKIES) we would abbreviate the dead sea scrolls, if we could. Love your videos, keep it up!
